Enterprise-Rent-A-Car: Company Profile
Enterprise Rent-A-Car
At Enterprise, we combine the opportunities of a huge, internationally successful car rental company with a more personal, entrepreneurial approach that lets individuals stand out.
Our training scheme
This includes management skills, finance, marketing, operations, sales and customer service, giving you the kind of business knowledge you’d only usually get from an MBA. Within a year you could be promoted to Assistant Manager. From then on, you’ll also receive a percentage of the profits generated by your own branch, which means you could earn more thanks to our performance based culture.
Our career progression
Throughout the scheme, there’s a series of carefully monitored tests and evaluations, after which you’ll receive pay increases, rewards and more opportunities for promotion, working your way up to Branch Manager, then Area Manager, City Manager and beyond. You’ll also have the opportunity to specialise if you find an area of the business you’re particularly interested in.
Our background
Enterprise started in the US in 1957 and we now have a turnover of $10.1 billion, employing more than 66,000 people across the UK, Ireland, Germany, the USA and Canada, with over 3,400 in the U.K and over 190 in Ireland. We’ve won more than a few awards in our time too. Most recently, we were voted as one of the 'best places to launch a career' by Business Week, and featured in ‘The Times Top 50 Where Women Want To Work’.
All about you
Join us and you can take advantage of enormous earning potential, a truly entrepreneurial environment, and a commitment to having fun, that few if any other companies can offer. If you have the potential to be a good leader, with strong negotiation skills and a high degree of self-motivation, then you’ll almost certainly love working here.
Management Training Programme
Come Alive
Will most industry-leading companies really make the most of your talent? Years at university only to become an expert in photocopying. Hanging round the boss’s desk waiting for instructions. And dreaming of a pay rise.
Better join the Enterprise Management Training Scheme to make sure that’s not for you.
What we offer
Join us, and you’ll learn about everything from sales, marketing and customer service to operations and finance, so you can make crucial business decisions and reap the rewards.
Here’s how it works
Starting off as a Management Trainee, you’ll be assigned to a branch to learn all about the business. Within as little as eight to twelve months, you’ll move up to a Management Assistant, and then you can be promoted to Assistant Manager. From then on you’ll also receive a percentage of the profits generated by your branch, which means you could earn more thanks to our performance based culture.
The job you’ll be doing
As well as providing customers with a great customer experience, you’ll be marketing our business, selling our service and liaising with lots of business partners, including insurance companies, dealerships, auto body shops and corporations. Not to mention all the day-to-day stuff, like office management and administration as well as collecting and delivering vehicles and keeping them clean.
The kind of person you’ll need to be
We’re looking for graduates and people with sales and/or customer service experience who are passionate, hard working and full of initiative. There are a huge number of opportunities open to you at Enterprise – and you’ll need to be the kind of person who’s going to grab them with both hands. Leadership skills are important. Communication skills are important. And an entrepreneurial spirit is an absolute must. Above all, you’ll be somebody who’s hungry to succeed. Because if it’s success you’re looking for, there really isn’t a better place to be.
