Expansion has created an interesting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to work for this long established multi-million pound business. They are highly respected for it's knowledge, experience and expertise across a range of market sectors including commercial, industrial, retail, health, education, building services and public and privately owned housing.


The Role

As the Mechanical Contracts Manager you will be responsible for the Mechanical and Plumbing contracts for the region. The division specialises in heating and plumbing installations in low and high rise housing, sheltered and student accommodation. As part of the overall Housing Project you will be responsible for offering a value-added multi-discipline service via a single point of contact, including electrical, access control, alarms, CCTV and signal distribution as well as the divisions' core heating and plumbing services.
The clients you will be dealing with include Local Authorities, Housing Associations, leading national and regional house builders and building contractors and other housing estate managers such as Universities and Health Trusts.
The role will involve budgetary control, materials purchasing, contract administration, attending site meetings to discuss financial and technical aspects of the project with the client and sub-contractor.


The Person

You should be an apprentice trained Mechanical Services Engineer with a strong background in mechanical building services, especially plumbing and heating contracts within the housing sector. A knowledge of commercial and industrial projects would also be useful.
