My blue chip client is looking to recruit a Technician / Technologist for a temporary role for a period of 3 months.


The candidate will provide effective technical support for product and process development activities in order to progress new product development projects.The role sits within a small group of engineers and technologists who have responsibility for the delivery of new negative pressure wound therapy products to the business within constraints of Time, Cost and Quality. The role provides practical technical support to Technical Leaders, Engineers and Project Managers in order to achieve project deliver-ables.












Tasks

1.To carry out practical product development and testing activities of electro-mechanical medical products under supervision.



2.To assess the outcome of practical work and make recommendations for further action.



3.To document all work carried out in accordance with the appropriate procedures (especially the writing of protocols, recording of data and reporting of work for inclusion in study files) to a high standard of accuracy and in a timely manner.


4.To apply high standards of occupational Health and Safety in the workplace to comply with company policy and procedure.
 

5  To perform all activities in compliance with relevant GMP and Quality Systems standards and specifically with FDA Quality System Regulation and ISO 13485.



6.To take part in day-to-day housekeeping to maintain the professional image of the department.

Qualifications

Science and/or Engineering training or qualification at A level, BTECH, NVQ level 4 or equivalent. 

Technical Experience

Demonstrable ability to undertake laboratory based testing and/or prototyping activities with an understanding of the design and interpretation of the results.

Project Delivery Experience

Evidence of working on a new product development (ideally medical), and integrating successfully with the team.

General

Demonstrates good written and spoken communication skills including technical subjects.

Evidence of effectively working as part of a team.

Evidence of ability to take on unfamiliar tasks and become proficient
