---------------CONTROL ENGINEER PERMANENT £30-£35K---------------

Our Client is large manufacturer based in North Yorkshire and due to expansion are now looking for a Controls Engineer to join their team

The Control Engineer is part of the electrical, instrumentation and control (EIC) team and reports to the Electrical Systems Engineer.
The plant is controlled by a Distributed Control System (DCS) interfacing to a number of individual PLC`s and intelligent MCC`s. The field instrumentation is largely intelligent and networked to the DCS
Key areas of accountability will include, but not limited to:
Maintenance of PLC/DCS hardware and other similar associated programmable systems
Development of the software associated with the DCS, PLC`s and the interfacing between systems.
Management of control and discipline-related contractors.
Co-ordination with other disciplines and suppliers.
Ideally you will possess the below Qualifications
Electricity at Work Regulations qualifications
HND in a relevant engineering or process related subject
NEBOSH ``Working Safely``
Qualified First Aider preferred, trained in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) following electric shock as a minimum.
In addition you will have:
Experiences of working on a large scale industrial site in an electrical, control, instrumentation or process role.
Experiences in the issuing and receiving of permits to work.
Experiences in risk assessment techniques.
Knowledge and experience of hardware and software aspects of DCS, PLC`s, intelligent field instruments and networked units.
