As an Early Years Professional you will take the lead in implementing the curriculum in line with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) across Early Years Settings in South Yorkshire. You will be responsible for organising and developing the nursery learning environments and resources in order to facilitate the learning process. You will establish relationships with the children and develop and maintain relationships with parents/guardians to further support the children.
You will also be responsible for:
Ensuring that records of progress are maintained.
Teaching all areas of the EYFS
Helping children achieve next steps in development
Interacting with and supporting children to foster enthusiasm for learning
Planning the indoor and outdoor environment in order to provide a positive context for learning and teaching
Planning challenging but achievable experiences and activities
Devising and producing visual aids and teaching resources
Working with others to plan and co-ordinate work
Meeting requirements for the observation, assessment and recording of children`s development
Sharing knowledge gained with other practitioners and parents
Using creative and practical skills to prepare learning materials
Arranging short visits to the nursery from outside organisations, for example the fire service; other key workers etc
Taking the children out on a regular basis
Ensuring the health and safety of children and staff is maintained during all activities.
Hays Early Years currently work with a number of different childrens centre's, nurseries and Primary schools across South Yorkshire and we are looking for an EYP to work on a flexible basis to cover sickness and long term absence. You must have Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) and have a complete understanding of the requirements and curriculum in line with Early Years Foundation Stage.
