To ensure efficient and effective management of the Estates Service with a focus on ensuring that standards are maintained and developed to meet the targets and objectives of the Estates Department .



To support the Estates and Property Development in the development and implementation of the College's Estates and Property Strategy. Manage the operational aspects of the Estates Service, establishing the various Contracts and manage the Service Contracts to ensure they all operate effectively across the properties

 

Other duties are to manage a reactive, planned and cyclical maintenance programme,  establish and maintain 'out of hours' cover arrangements for emergency repairs for all the capital and refurbishment projects as required

- Relevant degree or HND/HNC or equivalent

- Up to date knowledge of Estates Management, Project Management and Facilities Management.

- Knowledge of how to manage the Estates and Building Services of a large organisation

- Knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation and Risk Assessment / Management procedures

- Hold relevant Health & Safety qualification, such as Nebosh General Certificate

- Experience of managing service contracts for building service installations such as water supplies, drainage, electrical equipment, boilers, a/c units, passenger lifts, fire and security alarms, etc and monitoring performance.

- Experience of implementing, managing and monitoring quality assurance processes resulting in improvements in service provision

- Demonstrable record of achievement against aims, objectives and targets

- Achieve quality and performance improvements in relation to service delivery via organisations such as AoC, Elite, Landex, and e-mandate
